Solid phase extraction (SPE) enables rapid isolation of compounds. Torviq tools provide integrated solution for efficient SPE extraction
Plastic holder for six 5 mL SPE columns.
Collection tray is a manifold that holds six collection vials.
Designed to gently remove solvents by a stream of nitrogen.
Polypropylene syringes (sizes 3, 5, 10, 20, and 50 mL) equipped with a porous polypropylene disc at the bottom serve as the simplest and least expensive disposable solid-phase extraction columns. Plastic porous discs (frits) are cut from porous polypropylene sheet (porosity 70 micrones). Convenient washing of SPE columns with the sorbent (stationary phase) can be performed on a washing manifold, the Domino Block (shown on the Picture).
Any type of SPE sorbent (stationary phase) can be used, such as silica and C18 reverse phase.
Columns are sold in bags, one bag contains 50 SPE columns and 50 porous dscs used to cover and compress the SPE sorbent.
Collection Tray is a 3 x 2 rack that holds six standard collection tubes, typically scintillation vials. It is made of polyethylene.
SPE Column Holder with six SPE columns is placed on the Collection Tray with six collection vials.
Solution of compounds can be further elaborated or the solvent can be evaporated using the Solvent Evaporator.
The Collection Tray also serves for collecting solutions of compounds cleaved from resin after completing solid-phase synthesis.
Solvent Evaporator is a Teflon-made manifold designed to evaporate solvents from scintillation vials placed in the Collection Tray. The evaporation is facilitated by a stream of inert gas (nitrogen) introduced through the inlet port (labeled "N").
The Solvent Evaporator distributes nitrogen into individual vials and carries vapors to the outlet. The outlet can be connected to a cold trap to condense solvent vapors.
Up to six solutions can be evaporated at the same time. The Solvent Evaporator can be placed in a warm water bath to speed up the evaporation.
